On Tuesday, a Washington DC hospital reported its second incident of bed bugs. They are not the first hospital nor will they be the last to encounter bed bugs within their facility. This underscores a misconception that bed bugs only occur in unclean or dirty places. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Any facility, no matter how clean can succumb to a bed bug infestation. The reason being is that the bed bug, being a hitchhiker and a bloodsucker, could care less about his surroundings being clean or dirty. Their only need is bloodand wherever the host goes they go. That is why they can be found in a five-star hotel and your local flophouse. So be advised and beware, bed bugs can be anywhere.
